Lake O' The Pines

Lake O' The Pines is one of the most Beautiful Lakes in East Texas. A thriving Lake, 18 miles long, brimming with bass, catfish and crappie, with an abundance of beautiful birds, many species who either migrate here or call the Lake their permanent home. A Lake whose mood changes like the weather.

Most days the Lake is just moving slowly under a blue sky, and other days it's still like a mirror, with its surface glistening like a million diamonds reflecting the sun. There is a quiet peace about the Lake, with plenty of room to find your own honey hole and fish, set up a nice campsite with the wife, family or fishing buddies. Some of the parks have beaches for swimming, shelters,  picnic areas and boat ramps. There's also room for water skiing and sailing.

There are marinas, motels, cabins, guest houses, bed and breakfasts, and places to eat, buy food & supplies, with gas stations & specialty shops North and South of the Lake. But most of all there are nice people here, ready to help you.

Jefferson  Texas

Established over 160 years ago, Jefferson grew to the second largest and most important inland port in Texas.  It no longer acts as one of the "water trade" centers of Texas but attracts tourists throughout the nation because of its serenity and unique beauty.

Jefferson does not afford the towering structures or glistening bright lights of newer larger cities, but she offers other assets just as captivating and awesome.
It is the weekend Mecca for city dwellers who have long forgotten the simple way of life.

With more than fifty bed and breakfasts, Jefferson is known for its hospitality and friendly atmosphere.  The many antebellum homes, historic landmarks, antique shops, local entertainment,  and selection of attractions are of interest to visitors from all walks of life.
